Mike is an actor and stunt rider who has spent all his life in the saddle. Having started out in show jumping, cross country and dressage, Mike has since moved into the world of trick riding, skill at arms displays, and Roman riding with Atkinson Action Horses whom he joined in 2008.

In the nine years since he has helped train jousters and horses, ridden in countless major film and TV projects, doubled lead actors, and performed in equine stunt shows around Europe. Over the years he has worked on Warhorse, Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders, Wrath of the Titans, King Arthur, Robin Hood, and many others.

Mike is currently the holder of the Guinness world record for the most mounts and dismounts off a cantering horse in thirty seconds, a record he set here at the Royal Armouries.

Having watched “A Knight’s Tale” many, many years ago, Mike has been interested in jousting ever since and has been lucky to work in an industry that has given him the chance to do the things he is passionate about every day.
